The 3rd summer school will take place from 1rst July to 7th July at PEP Alsace, La Renardière, which is located at Aubure in Alsace.
Because the scientific initiative of the Critical Zone aims to reconnect the disciplines of the natural sciences that are concerned with the study of the habitable layer of the earth, the OZCAR summer school aims to bring together in one place researchers and students from all scientific fields of life and willing to share scientific questions, methods of investigation and scientific projects.
The 2023 summer school, in line with previous summer schools, is anchored on one of the observatories of the OZCAR network, the hydrogeochemical observatory of the environment (OHGE) located in the Vosges near the village of Aubure (67). This observatory, one of the most instrumented observatory in France, was created 40 years ago with the aim to understand the impact of acid rain on granite ecosystems.
For a week, students and teachers will gather and work together to understand the critical zone better. The summer school will mobilize scientists from the natural sciences, social sciences as well as artists. The detailed program is in preparation but a general programme is available.
