1rst OZCAR Summer school 2021

OZCAR summer school website

The first OZCAR summer school took place from 11 to 16 July 2021 at the Séolane Centre, at Barcelonnette in the Southern Alps.
The school gathered nearly 60 people (20 speakers and 40 participants). The participants have been unanimously enthusiastic and delighted by this rich and intense week, with presentations of courses and practical works, as well as poster sessions. Here, the various disciplinary communities of the critical zone met each other.
The participants have underlined the richness, the pedagogical quality and the scientific popularisation of the presentations, as well as the added value of the practical work and field trips, which were very instructive fostering a better integration of the knowledge.
Also, it was an opportunity to exchange ideas and collective mind thinking between scientists from different disciplines. The hike to the Lauzanier valley (see photo above) is a concrete example, as it allowed several people to give a lecture of the landscape and exchange views.
You can find the detailed programme (courses, practical work, field trips, poster session, reflection session) on the OZCAR summer school website (see archives of the 1rst OZCAR summer school).
