Metadata catalog watershed network
A metadata portal Watershed Network was developed. This portal is built using GeoNetwork, geo metadata management system, free, open-source and implementing a large majority of data standards and exchange. The portal also uses GeoNetwork, overlay GeoNetwork providing specifics related to the European INSPIRE management.
The portal metadata allows network members to enter / edit the metadata records corresponding to data sets produced by their observatories. It also allows internal and external users to the network to perform multi-criteria searches to identify sets of corresponding data and thus possibly to contact their managers. The portal also allows automated exchanges (harvesting) with other metadata catalogs (inside the network or other SOERE). The minimum set of metadata records shared by the community is defined by ISO19115, recovery of the INSPIRE Directive.
